Viewpoints

Viewpoint tool is a powerful integrated presentation tool, replacing separate presentation tools like PowerPoint.  Viewpoint tool is used to save pre-defined views to the project information, and can be used for example to make project presentations in similar style as PowerPoint presentations.

Functionality

  • Click on viewpoint to activate it
  • Click on Update icon to update the viewpoint
  • Click on Delete icon to delete the viewpoint
  • Double click on Viewpoint name to rename viewpoint. 

Viewpoints save and load following settings: 

  • Camera view
  • Current timeslider time
  • Data source visiblity and clipping
  • Rendering settings like shadows

Tips

  • Make interactive presentations with viewpoints like PowerPoint slides. Each viewpoint equals one slide. You can easily click viewpoints in their order same way as changing slides. This saves you time from not needing to create separate presetnations. You can also share presentations by making project "Public" and sharing the project link. 
  • Open projects into certain viewpint by activating the viewpoint, and copy https address from address bar, and use this link to re-open project always into this viewpoint. You can see that the link contains viewpoint name, and this way projects are always forced to open into this viewpoint, when this link is used.
