Sketch

Sketch tool is a powerful integrated rapid modeling tool, replacing separate modeling tools like Sketchup or Blender. Single

Add single elements with location and radius. Select a 3D model from Library to place 3D objects into project. 

Suitable for example modeling landscaping plans, city furniture like light poles, or contruction site machines like cranes and other site objects.

Line

Add polyline elements with line points, width and height. When height = 0, line will follow all models and terrain below the line.

Suitable for examle to sketch roads, rails, fences or construction site ditches. 

Area

Add polyline areas with corner points and height. When height = 0, area will follow all models and terrain below the area. 

Sutable for example defining city plan surface areas like parking areas and parks, landscaping vegetation and material areas like grass, gravel, or construction plan work areas, site safety regions or storage areas. 

Volume

Add polyline volumes with corner points and height. Height is from the highest point elevation like height from buiulding base. 

Suitable for example city plan building volumes, landscaping vegetation and material areas, or conruction plan volumetric safety regions or storages. 

Common settings

  • Name - Name of the Sketch model
  • Description - Multiline description of Sketch model
  • Show Name and / or Description in 3D view in middle of Sketch model
  • Color of the Sketch model
  • Transparencly of the Sketch model
  • Dimensions depending on Sketch model type
  • Element library - Select Sketch model's element type. When 3D Object is selected for Single Sketch models, Sketch model will show as 3D Model in 3D View. 
  • Folder - Select folder where Sketch model is placed into.
  • Tasks - Select 4D Gantt tasks which Sketch model is linked to
  • Attributes - Edit Sketch model attributes. Attributes are defined in Project settings / Atrribues tool. 

Tips

  • Create smart 6D Area Plans by drawing area plan elements as Sketch models, add schedule like when elements will be consructed, add additional information like construction costs, land sales income, land rent income, CO2 emissions, residents, parking places with custom attributes, and manage cost and CO2 balance of the area with Calculation tools.
