Mouse

Mouse navigation follows familiar navigation from common map applications:

  • Left button - Pan along XY plane so it is easy to move from place to another while keeping the elevation and camera angle same
  • Middle button - Zoom in / out either by pressing the middle button and moving mouse or scrolling with the mouse middle scroll
  • Right button - Orbit around target user muse cursor to change view angle horizontally / vertically

All actions use model point under mouse cursor as action center. For example you can point mouse cursor into a building corner and then orbit around thet corner.

Touch screens

Navigation on touch screens follow same way familiar navigation from common map applications:

  • One finger - Pan same way as mouse Pan
  • Pinch with two fingers - Zoom in / out same way as mouse zoon
  • Rotate with two fingers - Orbit same way as mouse orbit

Keyboard navigation

Navigation is also possible using game style navigation with keybard:

  • W / Up arrow = Forward
  • A / Left arrow = Left
  • S / Down arrow = Backward
  • D / Right arrow = Right
  • Q / Page up = Up
  • E / Page down = Down
  • key + Shift = Temporerily 2x faster speed
  • key + Ctrl = Temporarily 0.5x slower speed
  • + = Increases default speed to 2x faster
  • - = Decreases default speed to 0.5x slower

Note: Some Ctrl + key and Shift + key combinations are operating system or browser level shortcuts, and cannot be ovverrided by 6DPlanner. When navigate press the navigation key first and then Ctrl or Shift, then it works with navigation keys.
